"When Nobody's Looking" - Lesson 5 question

Hey guys! In Sunday school we're studying about the prophets and kings in the Old Testament during the time of the Divided Kingdom. Here's a question to think about before class this Sunday:

How old do you think somebody should have to be in order to be king and rule over a country? Why do you think so?

As always, add a comment to this post with your ideas. There's no right or wrong answer - we just want to know what you think! You can choose "anonymous" in the 'comment as' drop-down menu when you leave your comment. If you want to get a prize on Sunday (and you're one of our middle schoolers at FPCW), be sure to leave your initials or some way for us to identify you. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday and have a great rest of the week!

  1. Um . . . old enough to know better? Wait, that doesn't make sense. Hmm . . .

  2. Ummmmmmm i think it depends on how mature you are because if your not very mature then you shouldn't have the right to be king but if your mature enough to run a country at the age of 5 then go right ahead.

  3. @ JaP: thanks for the comment! Funny you said age 5 and then in class we ended up talking about Joash who was age 7 when he became king . . . and you mentioned maturity, and we also ended up talking about physical and spiritual maturity . . . it's almost like you knew what we were gonna be talking about! :-)
